Biotech, Pharma & Life Sciences
Spend discipline that keeps the science moving.
From clinical-stage biotechs standing up procurement for the first time to global pharma integrating after a merger, we build the sourcing, clinical outsourcing and finance operations that put more of every dollar into R&D.

Where we help life sciences companies
Clinical, R&D and corporate spend each need a different playbook. We bring all three.
Clinical outsourcing & CRO sourcing
CRO RFPs, bid defenses and weighted scorecards; preferred-provider and alliance agreements; budgets, change orders and KPIs that keep trials on plan.
Clinical trial financial management
Aligning clinical operations, finance and procurement on trial budgets, accruals and vendor payments, with the software to run it.
Procurement function build
Policy, operating model, intake and source-to-pay for biotechs moving from a few vendors to hundreds, sized to your stage.
R&D and lab supply sourcing
Lab supplies, equipment, CDMO and research services sourced on volume, service levels and supplier tiering.
Merger integration
Procurement and finance integration after pharma and biotech mergers, from supplier harmonization to one source-to-pay model.
Finance & procurement technology
Selection and rollout of source-to-pay, contract and close tools such as Coupa, Ariba and Ivalua, configured for life sciences controls.
Selected experience

CRO selection for a Phase 2 trial
Ran a full RFP and multi-day bid defense with clinical, regulatory, finance and IT stakeholders, narrowing six CROs to one with weighted scorecards. Also built a procurement function and implemented clinical trial financial management software.

Procurement build and CRO sourcing
Assessed the pre-clinical and clinical operating model, then ran a CRO RFP to 12 providers with five shortlisted, alongside lab-supply sourcing and supplier tiering.

Integrating two procurement functions
Integrated the procurement organizations of two global pharmaceutical companies into a single best-in-class function, with harmonized suppliers, policies and source-to-pay technology.

Common questions
Do you only work with PE-backed companies?
No. Alongside PE-backed platforms, we work with venture- and publicly-funded biotech and pharmaceutical companies building or scaling their procurement and finance functions.
Can you help us select and govern CROs?
Yes. We run structured CRO RFPs and bid defenses with weighted scorecards across clinical, medical, regulatory and finance stakeholders, then set up the contracting, KPIs and governance that keep trial costs on plan.
We’re a clinical-stage biotech without a procurement team. Where do we start?
Usually with a spend and contract baseline, a procurement policy sized for your stage, and the two or three categories that matter most, typically CROs, CDMOs and lab supplies.
